This Privacy Policy explains how Critical HIIT ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Critical HIIT mobile app and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using Critical HIIT, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

You can create an account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email and password registration. Depending on the method you choose, we may collect your first name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple provides us with a private relay email address. We do not store passwords for Apple or Google sign-in; authentication is handled by those providers. For email/password accounts, your password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text.

1.2 Workout and Fitness Data

When you complete workouts through the Service, we collect information about your exercise activity, including workout duration, exercises performed, and workout completion status. This data is stored on our servers to track your progress and personalize your experience.

1.3 AI-Generated Story Data

The Service generates personalized fantasy stories to accompany your workouts using artificial intelligence. Full story content is cached temporarily on our servers during active use. Story summaries are stored persistently to maintain narrative continuity across workout sessions.

1.4 Subscription and Purchase Data

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect transaction identifiers, purchase history, and subscription status. We do not directly collect or store your payment information — payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).

1.5 Analytics and Crash Data

We use Firebase and Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect analytics and crash reporting data. This may include device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance data, and general usage patterns. This data helps us improve app stability and user experience.

1.6 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and general usage data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
Authenticate your account and manage your subscription
Generate personalized AI-driven stories for your workouts
Track your workout history and fitness progress
Analyze app performance and fix bugs or crashes
Communicate with you about your account or the Service
Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the Service, including:

OpenAI — to generate AI-powered story content. Workout context, story progress, and your first name or character name (if provided) may be sent to OpenAI's API to create personalized narratives. We do not send your email address to OpenAI.
RevenueCat — to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases.
Firebase / Crashlytics (Google) — for analytics and crash reporting.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of users.

Business Transfers: If Critical HIIT is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Sent to AI Services

To generate your personalized workout stories, we send certain data to OpenAI's API, including workout type, exercise context, your story progress, narrative choices, and your first name or character name (if provided). We do not send your email address to OpenAI. Note that while we label the name field "first name," some users may enter their full name, which would then be included in data sent to OpenAI. Content sent to OpenAI via their API is not used to train their models, per OpenAI's API data usage policy.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Full AI-generated story content is cached temporarily on our servers and automatically cleared after use. Story summaries are retained to preserve your narrative progress. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

Access and Portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal data.
Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
Opt-Out of Analytics: You can limit analytics data collection by adjusting your device settings or contacting us directly.

8. Children's Privacy

Critical HIIT is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Service.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
